I started my professional life as a Social Worker before moving into management within the NHS. After retraining as a Group Analyst I continued to work in senior clinical positions in the NHS before taking up the post of Consultant Adult Psychotherapist for Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust, where I set up the Peterborough Personality Disorder Service.
During my career I have had extensive experience offering supervision, education and consultancy to the Voluntary Sector, NHS and Higher Education.
I have been:
- A member of the management committee for a specialist housing project in the North East of England
A member of the Panel of Readers for the Institute of Group Analysis (IGA) qualifying and supervisors courses
- Midlands Course in Group Analysis management committee member
- IGA-accredited York Groupwork Course staff member
- An Association of Adult Psychotherapists committee member.
I set up Oakham Consultancy in 2009 after completing an MA in Consultation and the Organisation: Psychoanalytical Approaches with the Tavistock and Portman NHS Trust and the University of East London. Oakham Consultancy offers Interpersonal Consultancy to organisations in the public, private and not-for profit sectors.
